Candle Burning & Safety Instructions:
Emma’s So Naturals – Eco Soy Candles are made from a 100% Soy Wax, a cotton wick, and are fragranced with only quality Pure Essential Oils – they contain no synthetic fragrances or artificial dyes.
Great care and attention should be given when burning any candles. Please refer to the safety instructions printed on the back of your Emma’s So Naturals Glass Tumbler Candle box, on the side of your Tin Candle label and on the lid of your Wax Tart melt before use.
Every time you use your candle trim the wick to about 5mm before lighting.
Long or crooked wicks cause uneven burning and dripping. An improperly trimmed wick can create a high flame and cause smoking or black soot – along with a high temperature, also forming a deep melt pool that may overheat the container over time. If the wick starts to smoke, blow the candle out, allow to cool and then trim the wick before re-lighting.
Burn the candle for about 2 hours the first time, or until the wax reaches the candle edge.
To ensure a good even burn pool, and to then ensure even burning every time, as the initial burn sets the burn pattern for subsequent burning sessions.
Keep candles free from foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings.
Never leave candles unattended, always burn candles within sight, on a level, fire resistant surface, and away from drafts, vibrations, children and animals. Extinguish all candles when leaving a room or before going to sleep.
Do not burn your candles for more than 4 hours at a time as the wax or the container may get too hot. Never touch or attempt to move a burning or still-hot candle.
Stop using your candle when 1.5 cm (1/2 inch) of wax is in the end of the container. The container may get too hot and crack or cause damage to the surface underneath
Due to the high content of natural essential oils, and fluctuating storage temperatures, occasionally some oils may leak from the top of the candle – simply wipe this away and enjoy the candle as normal.
Avoid skin contact with pure essential oils.
